Can I Use the T-Casual to Go to the Airport?
Yes… and no. Here’s how it works:
The T-Casual (Zone 1) does not work for the L9 Sud metro line or Aerobús, but it is valid on:
- RENFE R2 Nord train to Terminal 2
- Bus 46 from Plaça Espanya to the airport
If your flight arrives at Terminal 1, you can take the free shuttle bus to Terminal 2 and then use the T-Casual to catch the train or bus.
Since March 1, 2019, the official name of Barcelona’s airport is Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat Airport, in honour of the former Catalan president. Despite the change, it’s still widely known as Barcelona Airport or simply El Prat.
